I am a trained Holistic Kinesiologist, I am passionate about Energy Healing and Essential Oils. Our sessions are a mix of all of these as appropriate for what we are working on together.
It’s important to balance all areas of life and health – physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. I believe that everyone needs a team to support them throughout life. I will work with practitioners you already have on your team and I will recommend and refer to benefit your health as needed.

What is Holistic Kinesiology?
‘Kinesiology’ serves as an overarching-term for a suite of specialised modalities. And what links the modalities together is a reliance on muscle monitoring. This is a basic feedback mechanism into the human brain. This feedback is based on the principle of the body communicating with itself. This feedback is how the body communicates messages through a range of systems in order to function.
Sinead uses gentle muscle monitoring and this allows her to access the underlying stress in a person’s system. It is these stresses that may be blocking the body’s natural healing systems. This is important because we want your session to be efficient and effective. We want you to achieve your goals.
Kinesiology is a great therapy because it can be used across a broad range of stresses and the related conditions. Using holistic kinesiology Sinead will work on your whole system. She works on the physical, emotional and spiritual bodies because for Sinead – “A Balanced Mind and a Healthy Body equals a Happy Life!”

I adore working with children – they are so connected and so amazing. It’s always cool when they explain how they are feeling and what their bodies are feeling.
My role as a kinesiologist when working with children is to teach emotional intelligence. I work with the children and the parents to break the cycle of emotional reaction. I work to teach the child how to verbalise and recognise their feelings.
Another really important aspect of what I do in clinic is educating and helping parents to understand what their child’s behaviour is trying to tell them about how and what their child is feeling.
And then once we’ve talked about it, we release the energy on a physical\nervous system level from whatever past hurt is causing them to react the way they are. We relax \reset the body with a combination of body work and energy work. And we give the children a little tool (like a rock or a crystal) that they can use going forward to help them relax their own systems.
For babies and toddlers, it’s a little different. With babies and toddlers I will often use Mum or Dad to surrogate. That means that I use Mum’s body for example to find stresses for the baby. All corrections and adjustments are made to the child as appropriate. I will work with your child in whatever way works for them – on the table, on the floor, with the child sitting on Mum’s lap, maybe while they are playing with toys. We will find a way.
This really depends on the child, their situation and what issues we are working on. I generally recommend 4 or 5 sessions – but of course it could be more and it could be less! I work with you until you tell me that you don’t need me anymore. And I’ll see you again any time there is change or upheaval in your child’s life that they need to be supported through.
In a nutshell – It’s my job to support you and your child as they move through the emotional upheavals of life and as they discover who they are. Another Kinesiologist described her clinic as an ‘emotional dump zone’ which I loved – that’s it exactly. It’s a safe place where they can be emotionally vulnerable and be safe in processing
So what’s the difference between an online session and a face-to-face kinesiology session in our clinic?
Really, there is no difference between an online session and an face-to-face session in relation to outcomes.
Remember, everything is energy, including us, so we don’t need to be in the same room to have a successful session. Proximity and location truly do not have anything to do with the effectiveness and outcomes of your Kinesiology session.
Some clients prefer face-to-face sessions and some love being able to have their sessions in the comfort of their home. Some will even book out a meeting room in an office environment to have their session. Having an online session is a great way to save precious travelling time.
I deliver sessions both in my clinic in Capalaba in Brisbane, and also online. This became important when I moved from Sydney to Brisbane a few years ago. It allows my international and interstate clients to continue to work with me on any blocks that are holding them back.
As when we work together face-to-face, I also use muscle monitoring when we work online. Muscle monitoring is a tool, a form of biofeedback, that allows us to access subconscious information that you may not even have been aware of on a conscious level. In an online session, I surrogate for you – that is I muscle test myself on your behalf. At the start of every online session, with your permission, I set myself up as your surrogate.
As Kinesiology taps into the stream of energy that connects all of us, it allows this process to happen even if we are not the same room, state or even country. I’m amazed daily at how energy works – Awesome….
First of all and most importantly, Sinead will want to know all about you. In your first session, she will begin by taking a full medical and lifestyle history.
This medical and lifestyle history will include your:
basic medical history
hobbies, likes and dislikes
what your goals are
how you would ideally like to be feeling.
and much more….
From here, Sinead will then move to assess some of the energy flows and stresses within your body. This is because the primary purpose of a kinesiology session is to identify stress and the underlying patterns and to re-balance the body, mind and spirit. The methods Sinead will use to balance any identified stresses will differ depending on what each individual requires. This is because every session is unique to the client.
There are many different modalities that Sinead can work with to do this. This can include Counselling, Nutrition, Acupressure and Meridian Energy Flow, Structural balancing, Nervous System, Reflexology, Sound Therapy, Colour Therapy, Crystals, Chakra and Aura Healing, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), Flower Essences and many more.
Finally, at the end of your session you will most likely get some “homework”. You homework could be, a positive affirmation to repeat, physical stretches, a nutritional supplement, a flower remedy, a crystal etc. Your ‘homework’ is designed to continue or supplement your ‘healing’ session long after you have left the clinic.
The fact is that each session is unique, dependent on what you are working on and the corrections that will work best for you at that time, therefore there is no substitute for trying it yourself.

Your first session should be 1½ hours, and after that sessions can be between 45min and 1½ hours according to your individual needs.
How many kinesiology sessions will I need?
The number of kinesiology sessions that you will need really depends on you and the goal of of your sessions. Kinesiology treats you as a unique individual. Some people require one session to deal with a single issue, others require a series of sessions. A plan for you will be discussed in the initial consultation with Sinead.
Generally, Sinead likes to work with you for a minimum of 4-8 sessions. This allows you time to get to the true cause of the presenting issue. It also helps you to move on effectively with new learned skills. However, as each person is unique you may need more or fewer sessions to achieve your goals.
Once your main goals are achieved, Sinead recommends maintenance sessions which maybe 4-6 weeks apart. These sessions are to maintain good energy and well-being. These sessions will also help you to work on any new concerns that come up as part of life. Again, this is very personal and Sinead will discuss what works for you within your sessions.
Sinead herself sees a practitioner at least twice every month to maintain herself.

This again depends on you and the issue being addressed. Ideally there is a period of a few weeks or months between sessions so that you can integrate the life changes fully. Others may require fortnightly or weekly appointments to get to that point of change. There is no right or wrong way to structure your kinesiology and wellbeing plan. It is a good idea to see a Holistic Health\Kinesiology practitioner to maintain general wellbeing and personal development.
As a natural therapist, Sinead works with many other practitioners. She believes in a client centered approach to wellness and healthcare.
She will therefore often work with other practitioners. Other practitioners refer clients to Sinead and she may refer you depending on your requirements. The main goal is to get you as well as possible in the way that suits you best.
In saying that – you can do too much too quickly. This is individual of course, but it may not be in your best interest to have multiple healing sessions in various modalities in a single day. If you are concerned or unsure – just ask Sinead at your next session.

Absolutely, Sinead works with many physical, emotional and spiritual stresses. For weight-loss, Sinead will work with you on multiple stresses. This is because weight-loss is not just about food. It is about why we eat the foods that we do. Weight-loss is about what benefits we get from eating those foods. It is about how the foods we eat make us feel.
